GL-117 is an OpenGL- and SDL-based action flight simulator written in C++. It provides a random terrain generator, lighting effects, sounds, and joystick support. GL-117 is an action flight simulator for Linux/Unix and MSWindows. Enter the Eagle Squadron and succeed in several challanging missions leading though different landscapes. Five predefined levels of video quality and an amount of viewing ranges let you perfectly adjust the game to the performance of your system. Joystick, mouse, sound effects, music.
This game has been developed in the years 2002-2004 and is intended to run on NVidia TNT2 or GeForce2+. The latest CVS snapshot on SourceForce has been refactored to clean C++ code for a 2.0 version. However, due to changes in graphics programming, two years after the 1.3.2 release, a complete rewrite of the graphics engine would have been necessary. As the main developer is no more a student, this project has been abandoned since then. Sorry, but I hope you can still enjoy and play gl-117. Many, many thanks to all contributors!
